Terms of Service
Last updated 13 June 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Bizmate (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Bizmate on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Bizmate is
Bizmate is online bookkeeping and tax-preparation software for businesses, professionals, and accountants in the Philippines. It helps you record transactions, keep a double-entry general ledger, compute VAT and withholding tax, and assemble reports and a filing pack for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Bizmate is a tool. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice, and using it does not create an accountant–client relationship between you and Bizmate. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your records and for your own tax filings and payments.
3. Your account
You need an account to use most of Bizmate. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your password secure, and to be responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Bizmate.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Bizmate only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Bizmate to record or facilitate fraudulent or illegal transactions;
- access another company's data, attempt to bypass our access controls, or probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our written permission;
- disrupt or overload the Service, or interfere with other users' use of it; or
- copy, resell, or redistribute the Service, or reverse-engineer it except to the extent the law allows.
5. Your data and content
You own the data you put into Bizmate — your transactions, master data, attachments, and reports (“Your Content”). You grant us only the limited rights we need to host, process, back up, and display Your Content so that we can provide the Service to you.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content and for keeping your own copies of anything important. How we handle Your Content is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Plans and payment
Bizmate offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Pricing for paid plans is shown on our pricing page and is in Philippine pesos. Paid plans renew for the period you choose until you cancel.
Unless required by law or stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable. We may change our prices, and we will give you reasonable notice before a change affects your renewal.
7. Tax and compliance disclaimer
Bizmate helps you prepare books and BIR forms, but you — together with your accountant or tax agent — are solely responsible for reviewing them, filing on time, and paying the correct taxes. Bizmate is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Bureau of Internal Revenue or any government agency. We do not guarantee that any output will be accepted by the BIR or that it reflects the latest regulations.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Bizmate available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend the Service for maintenance. If we plan to discontinue a material part of the Service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
9. Intellectual property
Bizmate, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks or to the Service itself beyond the right to use it as described here.
10. Termination
You can stop using Bizmate and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. After termination you may lose access to Your Content, so please export anything you need first; we may retain or delete data as described in our Privacy Policy and as the law requires.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bizmate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost data, or tax penalties, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Bizmate after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes arising from them or from your use of the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
